Wheelchair queen to end reign

Forget the wheelchair. It doesn’t matter. Elizabeth Reeve is a pageant queen, complete with tiara and sash. She just happens
to travel on four wheels.
“When I first started,” the 36-year-old Tahlequah woman explained about her reign, “I went into it for me and thought it was all about me. But over the year, I learned that it was more about what I could do for others, how I could share my talents and love of service to all individuals.”
Soon, the Tahlequah woman  will pass on her Ms. Wheelchair Oklahoma tiara. Now in its second year, the rebooted pageant in
Tahlequah will feature a handful of potential queens, including Lynda Miller, Ms. Wheelchair Tulsa.
“It is not a beauty pageant,” Reeve said, “but one more of the academia-and- accomplishment type.”
Once the next Ms. Wheelchair Oklahoma is crowned, she not only will compete in Ms. Wheelchair America. She’ll educate the public, as
Reeve said, “on how individuals living in wheelchairs can make a positive impact on society.”
