Jr. Miss Wheelchair Oklahoma, Elizabeth Moore (from Fairfax, Oklahoma), was crowned on August 16, 2009. She currently holds another title, Osage Nation Princess. She has CP. She describes herself as Tough. Blessed. Loved. Happy. and Smart. Congratulations Elizabeth!

I want to be independent to the best of my ability. A tough girl that rises and defeats challenges within the limits of my disability. I have CP low tone, so cannot walk by myself and have difficulty with fine motor skills like writing. I am friendly and happy and love my family and want others to know they can be independent too.

I am Native American, Osage and Otoe and Pawnee tribes. I have an older brother Dillon who is 22 and at NSU, and older sister Jessica who is 24 and at OSU and the former Miss Indian Oklahoma, and a twin sister Erica. We love powwows and travelling together with our parents to cultural events. I love to play video games in my spare time or watch dvd movies.

I am a junior in high school and am mainstreamed except for reading and math in special ed.

* Achievements since the onset of your disability:
I learned to sit up and to talk, though many people do not understand me easily. I can type and I am an expert at video games. I drive my electric wheelchair and won a gold medal in it at special olympics this year. I had major abdominal surgery at birth and in 07 and 08 and am fine now, I hope.

Elizabeth Moore, Jr. Miss Wheelchair Oklahoma wins Silver in Special Olympics bowling
Elizabeth Moore participated in the 14th Annual Special Olympics Oklahoma Winter Games, on January 8, 2010. She competed in the wheelchair bowling event at Boulevard Lanes in Edmond, OK, and received a silver medal. Wheelchair bowlers use a special ramp to hold and guide their bowling ball so they can roll it down the lane.
Lizzy was announced as the current Jr Miss Wheelchair Oklahoma and wore her banner that day.
